Noodles

OOOOOOO... What have we been doing? Well, we had a great Christmas. Santa came. Ty got spoiled and we moved to Payson. We live in a GREAT house.

Andy went with his friend to work in Greenriver for the day and my sister got a new noodle machine for Christmas so we have been making noodles all night. Yummy.

After New Years we are going back to Logan to finish up our last 2 weeks. :/
Only a couple more days of relaxation...

Christmas Break!

Christmas Break is coming soon. I'll be done tomorrow at noon.

Ty has been busy undecorating the Christmas Tree, trying to eat ornaments and walking!

We're moving a bunch of stuff to Payson this weekend. I'm not so sure how I feel about it. I love Logan. I love my students and I love Cache Valley. I love Utah State. I love our friends up here. I love Lee's Marketplace. I love Gossner's Cheese Plant. I love walking around the blockI love Porcupine Reservoir. I love, well, almost everything... The only thing I don't love about this place is my TINY house and of course scraping my windshield every morning.
We're beginning a new adventure. Who knows what we'll encounter.

Bountiful Baskets

So we decided to jump on the bandwagon and buy a Bountiful Basket. We loved it. In fact, we've almost ate the entire thing. Who knew these....umm.... things could be so good? I don't even know what they are!

Ty Turns 1!

Ty Turned 1! Just tonight he took his first steps. I can't believe my baby is growing up so quickly. We had a costume party for him and he loved his cake.

Ty was an elephant and kept trying to grab the flame on his candle.

Ty loved helping us carve pumpkins this year. He ate pumpkin guts and scattered seeds everywhere.

We have a good friend who dresses up as a mean witch every year for Halloween. In fact, she scared me last year right before I went into labor. I wanted to get Ty's picture with her. He ignored her for the first little while (wouldn't even look at her) and then he started crying. My camera ran out of batteries so I couldn't get a teary picture.

The Cache Valley Pumpkin Walk is a big deal every year here in Logan. Basically there are a bunch of booths made out of pumpkins. We went this year during the first blizzard of the year. We bundled up and braved the storm.

There was a cute Toy Story booth.

Ty was a happy little dude.
Virgil and Sharon (Ty's Grandparents) got Ty a miniature horse for his birthday. His name is Tex and Ty loves him. He pokes him in the eyes, pulls his hair and lays on him. Tex loves Ty too. He doesn't really like big people because he's so small. He loves little kids though.

Ty got to hang out with Cousin Brix. We don't get to see him very much because he lives in California. Hopefully, they'll move here soon. :)

We have swings in our backyard. Ty loves them. He giggles and giggles and cries when I take him back to the house.

We are moving to Spanish Fork in January. I told Logan High that I'm leaving and I'm a little sad about it. Andy will be student teaching at Salem Hills High School and I may be able to get a job somewhere around there. Someday, I will be a stay-at-home-mom. It makes me sad to think that Ty is already one and I've worked his whole first year of life.

Adventures

Black's Fork 2010

It was a little cold.

2 Teeth and Counting.

We've been on lots of crazy adventures the past couple months. We've also been trying to go to school and work on a regular basis (sometimes it's difficult) and Ty has just been trying to grow teeth, crawl super fast, eat nickles and stand up against things.

I drew a bull elk tag this year and.... I got one! With only one horn :) But I'm still proud.

I got so excited I just shot the first one I saw. :)

Andy recently finished the cutest kid saddle. I wish we could have kept it for Ty.

Ty learned to feed himself.

We rafted a waterfall in Lava Hot Springs. I didn't believe it was possible until we did it.

My Brother and Andy caught a bunch of Crawdads in Strawberry Reservoir. Then, we cooked them up and ate them. They tasted like lobster.

We went fishing and caught a GIANT fish. My sister-in-law, Kellie, actually won 9th place in a contest and got a $50 Sportsman's Warehouse Giftcard for the fish she caught.

This weekend we're going to hike the Wellsville Mountains. Anyone want to come?

Hope you're all having crazy adventures!

7 Months

Ty is 7 months old today. (wow, time flies) He came home the other day with Andy and matching (kinda matching) shirts. He eats everything from green beans to applesauce and he's usually a happy little dude.

Andy is moving to St. George tomorrow and I'm going down Friday. Five more days until summer for me. Yay!

Nothing too exciting has been happening. I made a chocolate cake today (and it's awesome). My cakes from scratch have never been perfected until now. Yum.

We're attempting to clean our house and organize before we go to Sunny St. George but... I've been sick. I've had a sinus infection for 3 months and I'm going on my 3rd course of antibiotics. It better work this time....

Here's a cute picture of our cute little cowboy. I love this kid.

Cute boys!

Dia De Los Ninos

We decided to celebrate Dia De Los Ninos (Children's Day). Ty is the best. He got a new hat and toy that moves and makes noises. It took a little "conditioning" to get Ty to think it was cool. At first he was terrified.
We have also reached a milestone. Ty sleeps in his own bed! He slept inbetween us until about 2 weeks ago. I'm proud of the little guy. He's growing right up.

BBQ, Camping and Baby Mono

:)

Ty with Dad- Learning to rope. :)

Today we went to Walmart in search of a high chair and carseat and ended up with a BBQ Grill. It was such a good deal ($94 and we got a $50 gift card back... so $44... kinda). We were so excited we bought some chicken, spices and started unthawing steak. We opened the box and found hundreds of pieces! Screws, nuts, bolts, washers, etc. It took Andy 5 hours to put the dang thing together. I thought the completion of the thing was a Kodak Moment!

We went camping to the coolest place last weekend. We camped in the middle of two cliffs! It was so cool. We hiked, shot guns, hung out, sat by the fire and ate good food. My dad, Ryan, and Kellie all met us out there.
Shooting off a cliff. I was creeped out cause I'm scared of heights!

Ty chilled in the shade because I was super worried about him getting sunburned. He already loves camping (especially watching the fire).
Ty started throwing up after our camping trip, then he quit eating, then he turned yellow. We took him to the Dr. and they had to draw blood. They checked for blood disorders, and thought maybe he had hepatitis. After 3 days of tests and drawing blood twice...
The Dr. called and said TY HAS MONO! Poor thing. I had mono in college and missed 3 weeks of school! He is feeling a little better now. He sleeps a lot, eats a little (well... normal) and smiles a lot. I guess if you have to be sick, you might as well be happy about it.

We felt the Randolf, Utah earthquake! We were sitting in our living room and the room started moving. It was crazy... kinda like the shake when a train goes by but slower and bigger. It creeped me out, but it was kinda cool. I called my friend/neighbor and she said "I did not feel an earthquake... you are crazy...it was probably just your neighbors upstairs." Umm... I didn't think they could shake the entire house! A couple minutes later she called and said... "look at the news!"

Ty's First Ride

We went camping 2 weeks ago by Greenriver... Well we kinda went camping. We slept in a hotel and did everything outside and cooked outside and hiked and I FOUND A REAL LIVE INDIAN ARROWHEAD. I think it was the one that Sitting Bull used to kill Custer (wait, did that really happen?) :)
Anyway... I didn't want to go to jail so I just took a few photographs. I'll post photos later. I also was looking for gold that was hidden by the wild bunch but I didn't find any... I think I found a marker though that pointed to the gold pit. But... I didn't have a shovel. Next time I'll retrieve it.

Ty had his first ride last night and loved it. He has sat on a saddle many times in his dad's shop but never on a saddle AND on a horse!

We spent the night in Tremonton with food, friends and fun.
Check out the saddle that Andy's friend Dan built at our house.
Andy had to try it out.

ALSO...
Ty went to all three hours of church for the first time today. We've been paranoid about Swine Flu and other sicknesses that are going around. He slept through our class and only cried once!

And...
Spring Break at Logan High is next week! Yay. I only have to make it through five more crazy days before I get a week of freedom. We're going camping by Hanksville and I'm taking a shovel this time so I can dig up some loot.
